I finally got myself a video editing program and set about to learn it.  When I play back the video file on my computer, it looks great.  After uploading to Youtube and viewing it on Youtube, the video quality is not good.  I am completely new to video editing and uploading to youtube.  Here is the link to my first attempt...what am I doing wrong?

Youtube is a whole topic on its own.
It will compress your footage, so it will look less 'good' than on your PC.
But it should not be too much of a difference.
Having said that, in areas with lots of detail (trees) you will see the compression as artifacts.
If you want (and can), you can share a short rendered clip via google drive or something so I can take a look on my PC.

PS, it is best to hit the small 'reply' link below a post if you are answering to somebody, that way the user will get a notification.
(and be more quick with replying, because posts get lost quickly in a forum)
So don't start typing in the lowest textbox, but hit Reply below the post you are answering to.
You will get a popup form for replying with a small quote.

Thank you for your comments.  I'm still unsure of what to do.  I see other's videos on youtube and they look great.  Very disappointing after all the time spent editing and 27 hours to upload.

Can you share a short clip that you have rendered via google drive?
(so just the file, don't upload it to YT)

Feeling pretty dumb right now.  I don't know what is meant by "rendered" and I don't know how to use Google drive.  I've got lots to learn!
