i don't get it... i just double checked, my Mini is standing on its belly in the combo case and the props are not touching anything. Am I missing something?
P.S. Video at the begginning is modified
Dear Ice_2k, in response to your question, I must say you are absolutely right about the space between the bottom of the Combo case and the propellers in the front part of the MM (camera side). There is enough space and therefore, no problem. You force me, and I thank you very much, to modify my approach on the need (in my opinion) to modify this famous Combo case. I modified the video and again, thanks to your questioning. I can't say it enough, THANK YOU, THANK YOU AND thank you again for posting about this.
As far as I'm concerned, the simple fact of seeing these small propellers undergo a certain stress among them, however small it is, justifies that it is necessary to modify the Combo box, especially with all these conclusions made by those who analyze the Log files for events of `` Max power messages and Not enough force '' etc. etc. and who often conclude by suspecting the propellers having been distorted or with often an altered pitch or both possibilities at the same time or something similar.
As you can see, at the beginning of the video (modified), I perceive a friction between these propellers (camera side) when stored in the box. Well, okay, it's not huge you will say but the problem still exists especially if the MM is stored for a long time with the propellers positioned on top of each other. But, on closer inspection, the stress is even less present if the propellers are oriented towards the front (at an angle of + - 30 °). See picture.
So, removing the bulge at the bottom of the box, allows small and fragile propellers to rest freely as shown in the video. I could be wrong but too bad, the good side of things is that I was able to occupy myself a little by tinkering for the storage box (for long periods of inactivity) and this Combo box for my trips to the field of practice ..
Finally, the addition suggested by 120ccpm (Post # 8, 9 and 11) adds increased security for the propellers on top of the MM.
