Thank you, like number 2 myself, I think in real life it just looked like something I had never seen before, also image looks so much better before its reduced for show on here. it’s a nightly thing around here just now, only pity is I can’t travel to far .

Same here,  essential travel only.  Although sometimes it doesn't feel like people are playing by the same rules.

Stunning shots.  Reminds me of my Navy days.  "Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in morning, sailor's warning."  Thanks so much for sharing Hallmark007.

Thank you, did you serve on an aircraft carrier ? The JFK or big john once in 99 or 2000 visited our shores here in Ireland , I had the great privilege to be invited out for a tour of the ship, it was a real highlight of my life, we flew out by helicopter, something I’ll never forget.

I served on 3 different carriers.  USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) back in late 60s off coast of Vietnam.  Next onboard USS Enterprise (CVN-65)  then onboard USS John F Kennedy (CV-67).  I left Big John in late summer 1998.  During my Navy time I went to 36 different countries but unfortunately never made it to Ireland.  My first ship was only 250' and had a crew just under 100.  On the Enterprise we had a crew of over 4,400.  Most probably why they call them floating cities.  So I went from a small ship with no waiting in line to eat but didn't ride so well when transiting oceans whereas the carriers were much smoother rides but long waits in the chow lines and liberty lines.  LOL.  However, I can tell you that even being on a carrier in the North Atlantic in the winter with up to 40' swells was no picnic.  One of the many things I remember about carrier duty was the amount of food that was consumed.  In a typical day we would eat over 1,600 pounds of chicken and drink over 160 gallons of milk.  Anyway, didn't mean to bore you but again I never made it to Ireland.  Wish we would have.

Wow I’m in awe , so impressed with you guys it sounds like a great experience but a tough one. It’s a wonderful thing all of you do protecting your country and the world.

Funny you should mention the food, it was a ship’s chandler that arranged the trip on board for me and my daughter, he had talked of the sheer amount of orders he was fulfilling, I seem to remember order for oranges was something like two ton lol.

God bless you and stay safe .
