Hi,

I have Tello Edu drone and I want to connect it to home router/access point.
Is there an app to control Tello Edu through access point ?
Any app which will switch to AP mode and then connect to  the drone@s IP address to control it ?
(there might be issues to find the IP address of the drone but thats not an issue for me)


In fact, I was expecting to have an official Tello Edu app which would allow switching to AP mode but I couldnt find anything like that.
I am using the standard Tello app to control Tello Edu. Is this what Tello Edu owners do ?

Dear, There are 2 ways to connect tello edu to home router/access point, it is usually for flight in formation, but you can also control merely one edu. 1. For Ipad: Install swift playgrounds and subscribe Tello service, then you can find the flight in formation charter, there is introduction of how to connect drone to router/access point. 2. For  laptop: You can achieve this by Python, please describe your idea in e-mail and send it to sdk@ryzerobotics.com, our programming engineer will response you.  

If you want to alternate to Tello APP or others to control drone, please reset the wifi. Please press and hold the power button for 5 seconds when the Tello is powered on and after the Wi-Fi’s SSID and password are reset, the aircraft will automatically restart.

So there is no official "tello edu" app which would let us users use Tello Edu like Tello  but connected to access point ?
And no 3rd party  Android app which would do the same ?

Connecting drone to router/access point is only for flight in formation, not for ordinary control like by Tello APP, there is no official APP support the mode you mentioned.

I really would like to have a better signal around the house using my wifi mesh network.
