HI Everyone,
i know this might be a 'duh' issue , but i am newbie in this. if i have an image with its exif data. can i calculate the foot print of it on the ground ? i have seen some posts about using the FOV angle and the Height from the data and use tan angle to determine the width of the image. what i am failing to grasp here is that what height ? if i use the height from the exif data and use that function the foot print does not make sense (it comes about half the actual length i measure using google earth of the same spot).
some other post say add the height from exif to the altitude of the home point. the problem is i only have the image and i do not have any info about the home point.
