Hi new drone pilots out there. If you own a drone with a 1/2.3 size sensor, you will probably have bad dynamic range or contrast in your pictures. There is a way to cheat this and make it look like you used a professional camera. Open up AEB mode, and adjust shutter speed and iso to get a modest exposure (0.0-0.7). Then make sure the drone is super stable and press the shutter button. Wait 30 seconds. Then bring your drone back and put the 3 photos onto your computer. Use Photoshop, or some sort of HDR merging service to merge them. Be careful. Some services might lower the quality of your photo. It will look awesome and almost perfectly exposed.

Also the Mavic Pro 2 can do HDR in drone so you don't have to manually merge later.

I use this all the time!
It is the only way to overcome the huge dynamic range sometimes.

My old Phantom 3 had hdr. It is so much easier than using the AEB setting. I wish there was a setting I could change in Dji assistant 2 dev tools to enable hdr on my Dji Spark.

Combining the Mavic 2 with hdr will be awesome the Mavic 2 already has a 1” cmos with >20 dynamic stops. Using hdr makes it even more noticeable.

4K HDR video appears to be be broken in the latest Air 2 firmware update 01.00.0511 with Fly app 1.2.2. Videos are now always recorded with HDR off.  Please fix.
