Not yet used for fly. Only flew with Iphone 6 of my son. Now trying to install new update for MM, batterys etc via Assistant2 then will try to install Fly app update and Fly safe.

I just checked the App Store. It shows update available for Fly App to version 1.1.0

I got it here in Australia. Adds support for the new drone etc. Haven't flown with it yet.

And they also made it a full screen app for the iPads.  Things continue to look better.

Just tested on a iPad Mini 2.  Looks great but the video was lagging. However that could be the device.  And as Bob pointed out - full screen! I will take another run with an iPhone 11.

Just updated the Fly App and tested the Mini indoors. Everything worked perfectly with no problems.

Don't seem to be available in the app store in my region.

Go to the DJI store and click on the MM and there select support and you will see v er 1.1.0 under downloads

When I run the new version on my S9 there is no black rim at the top or bottom still the same

It does not show up for me in the US on DJI site or Android Play store. But if you click on the DJI site 1.0.6. link, you do get the 1.1.0 apk file. WTF?
OK now I see it, but not in the Support section.

No black strip on iPhone 11. Disappointing must only be for tablets.

Yeah, same here.

I just installed on Samsung S6 phone and Samsung Tab A tablet and see no changes in the borders on either. The Tab A has always had a narrow black border at top and bottom of the video due to the different aspect ratio.

No black bar on iPhone 6s as well. just wondering what is this release for need to see the release note

Looks like it is for the Mavic Air 2 release. 1.08 doesn't allow you to chose which drone you are using, like this one does.

Looks like it's more of an aspect ratio thing on tablets rather than something intentional...

Yesss, I downloaded via DJI website and successfully installed the app and was exited, I saw the RAW option as well! But then I connected the Phone to the controller and bootet the mini and - - - it was GONE!! WTF???
Was someone of you actually able of testing or shooting anything in RAW?

I think it should be an option for the mavic air and when connected to the controller it disables the options not available on the model you have

For me, as soon as possible, I'll go and try to test this upper black line which was so expected

Yes but on the other hand with starting the app you had to choose which bird you gonna connect. So why didn't they disable the option in the first place instead making my mouth water??

just tested and no black line on Iphone 8

You are right...checked old tablet pics and there always was a black border.

Disregard...the black bar was always there...still will fly with tablet more than S6 from now on.

This is a point we have to keep claiming.
If the number of satellites is important to take off, why not make this information clearly visible?
An option would be to highlight it in the same way as when you click on the battery and the data is shown in a small box.
Wenn we fly at a cloudy day, as the picture below, this information are really difficult to see.  The number of satellite has a white font and it is so small that it is practically invisible.
