Yeah, but the comparison should be between the Mavic 2 Pro & the Mavic Air 2, since they share the same body style.  

Air 1 set quite a low (or high?) bar when it comes to noise so not much value in that comparison.... should have been against the Mini and the M2P/Z

I agree, compare A2 to MM and M2 would be better. But it is clear there are bigger diameter props and very likely lower revs motors, so it sounds better than Air1 IMPOV and noise level doesn't look high.

I saw an interview with a guy from DJI and he said A2 is one of the quietest drones on the market right now, hope that’s true

Yeah and I think we will see many of them, but owners of Mavic Air1 really wanted to know was the A2 much better, if you never owned a MA1 you might not understand the whine it made and no other Mavic made this dreadful noise, however listening to A2 it sounds very similar to all other mavics even a little quieter.

A2 sounds very similiar to M2 (to my ears from youtube videos). No suprise as the motor revs and props size and shape look similar as well.

Now if there were only a way to control the volume on the remote beeps or disable them. Don't understand why DJI wants the whole neighborhood to know we're low on batteries.

I think MM is still too loud, even if there are those who do worse.
