Took me 2 days to make this beast of an article. It's mainly a complete comparison between the new Mavic Air 2 vs all other Mavics in the series (even the spark).

It's titled Mavic Air 2 vs Mavic Mini vs Mavic Air 1, but there's more drones in there (much more).

It contains a huge table with all the specs and graphs for each individual one bellow it (don't skip reading it all, some important info until the end).

Your article doesn't address (under the Active Track section) what resolutions the Active Track works at. Does it work at all resolutions?

Great point!

I'll change it right now. As a side note, the Active track doesn't work in 4k 60p, it only works in 4k 30p and everything under that.

I saw a comment on YT that the Active Track doesn't work in ANY resolution above 1080p 60. Is that erroneous?

there is something you got wrong - the controller has a pause button, as with the mini's controller the RTH button acts as a pause button.

Hmm, it must be, or maybe just a software fluke. They made the Mavic Mini recently able to have manual exposure controls.. so I'm pretty sure they can fix any software issues on the new Air 2.

Hi, PaulArcher. Thanks for sharing. There are two things we need to explain.
1) The ActiveTrack mode supports the following resolution:
Normal: 4k 24/25/30 fps; 2.7k 24/25/30 fps; 1080p 24/25/30 fps
HDR: 4k 24/25/30 fps; 2.7k 24/25/30 fps; 1080p 24/25/30 fps
2) Mavic Air 2 has merged the Flight Pause Button and RTH button. Press short to make the aircraft brake and hover in place (PS：only when GPS or Vision system are available. ) Press and hold the button to initiate Return To Home. Press again to cancel RTH. The user manual will be public soon, please refer to our official website.
