Smart Controller compatibility with the Mavic Air 2 would sure make a nice package. Especially when using the HDMI out of the SC to feed a 2K NIT monitor.

Yes. With the Lifthor Pro or a good stativ.

Any update on next SC firmware release for Mavic Air 2?

Also interested in knowing the approximate time frame for the Smart Controller update that will allow Mavic Air 2 connectivity.

The smart controller currently uses the android version of the GO4 App to control Mavics and now the P4P V2.  However, the Mavic Air 2 can currently only be controlled with GO Fly App.   Will the GO4 App be updated to control the Air 2 or will we be able to download the android version of the GO Fly App?   Or do we have a choice?

I installed the DJI Go Fly App on the Smart Controller. I did not try and link the Mavic 2 Air to the controller AND I DID NOT TRY AND FLY THE MAVIC 2 PRO

Sorry. I want to but I’ve found that Murphy’s Law can jump up at anytime.
The camera view on  the Mavic 2 pro has heavy vignetting.
I will take a screenshot with that.
I may get enough nerve to  try  to connect the MA 2

Hi I did try.
Although the  Mavic Air 2 was  listed in the  devices in the "connect to " list, butwaasn't able to connect the Mavic Air 2.
When I started up the Mavic 2 Pro, I was able to connect  the Mavic 2 Pro and even though I was hesitant, I did take it up. The view of the SC of the DJI Fly app did not cover the entire screen, it look as though something was wrong ( see the photos). Although the photo I took came out perfect when views on the SC. I just took it up about 20 feet and flew around about 30 feet.

I may have to download the latest DJI Fly to seeif I can connect the Mavic Air 2  . , I hear there's a new version out for Android. ( v. 1.14). I do not have a Mavic Mini but it seems like good news for people that have a Mavic Mini and a Smart Controller. ( NOT... MM is wifi, not Occusync)
The photos tell the story and YES, the Advanced Gimbal controls are there

Clearly they lied about the comment that it was coming in a few weeks.  Can ultimately imagine you lying like this in your job and getting away with it?

The statement about delays because of   Covid-19?  The world is going thru effects and fallout from Covid-19.
