AirSense is part of the ADS-B push in the United States.  I do not believe that there is a firm timetable for the equivalent or adoption in Europe.

is there any reason to wait till 2021 with buying the new mini 2?

As far as I have read and understand it will be within law to fly in urban areas and over people?  but it will be limited in height to 120m, but not in distance??

No reason to wait, there are no C labeled drones AFAIK. You have to be registered as a drone operator anyway...

Why does everybody think that CE-certification is the same as C-classification, it’s not. You need to have an CE-certification to be able to sell electronics within Europe, and all DJI-products that are on the European market is CE-cetified. The C-classification will be needed to comply to the new EU drone rules, and to this date NO DJI drone has been C-classified.

It’s really unfortunate that they picked the letter C when it's so easy to mix up with CE.

I contacted dji and every sold mavic air 2 in the uk can be sent and add the air sense in it to make things fair on every one bought in uk plus we paid the same amount as it has the air sense! So dji reply was that every drone sold in Europe they will add air sense in it , but what its not known that if they gona charge for it or it will be for free ! So even them they dont know yet. But you ll get the AirSense for sure even if you already bought it .

The UK & EU were duped in to buying both the Mavic Air 2 and now the Air 2S with blatantly false information regarding the ADS-B as it was advertised on all spec sheets but not actually in the EU drones, DJI failed to tell buyers this, and now same with Air 2S , they have not stated anywhere that it's missing from EU models, and to not have the Air 2S CE certified is sticking a finger up at EU / UK buyers

ADS-B is included in UK Mavic Air 2S models and the FPV....  Mine has it.
