Hi DJI, why did my drone at 99% battery, 29 seconds into the flight in an empty field with no trees or obstacles suddenly cut power and plummet to the ground below?

the battery was inserted perfectly. which DAT file do you put? the one from the drone itself, or the one from DJI GO app?  i have the flight log.txt file already.

There's not much to go on.
The only possible clue is that you were flying at full stick and suddenly centred the right stick.
If the battery was not properly secured because of swelling etc, the sudden stop from speed might have been enough to cause the battery to move enough to disconnect.

this is not the case because i was watching the drone and the reason the sticks went to the middle was because the drone immediately lost signal and fell from the sky.  I did not release the sticks

So,  just 2 days ago......I plugged in my battery,  walked 10 steps to the landing pad.....turned on the drone, and then sat it down with 1 hand.

I got back to the RC and iPad.....and there on screen was a warning.   Battery not inserted properly,  or something to that effect.    I walked back to the drone, carefully picked it up and looked at the battery clips....and SOB !!  The left was not clicked in.     So in my review, I was holding the drone in my right hand, and guessing that when I let go and started to pull away, my thumb touched the button on the left, dis lodging it.....to a point.

I truly thought this was a more secure attachment method....but be careful out there!!
