Here is some basic tips for new pilots:

-Study using drone without camera in your sight (it will help you to get better at controlls)

-Make sure that your drones RTH option has sellected in case of "RC Signal Loss"

- Make your RTH Altitude high to prevent crashes even if your drone has sensors. (Do not forget your local altitude rules, it can cause hard penalties)

-Trusting your sensors more than your eyes mostly finishes with sad crashes.

-When you lost your connection or vision, do not panic and press all buttons on the RC. After 3 second of the connection loss your drone will head back to home point which has saved before take-off (DO NOT FORGET TO SAVE HOME POINT BEFORE TAKE-OFF)

-Do not take your drone high such as 500 meter to try it. At high altitude wind and gusts will be much stronger than ground. Your drone can flyaway very quick while you are trying to understand what is going on.

-Do not fly in hard weather conditions if it is not necessary
-Do not fly backwards

-Do not fly your drone in a high interference area

I have a MP (first version) and it becomes rather unstable when using then, so I disabled them.
Plus I agree you need to fly yourself instead of let the drone fly itself.

I never use ActiveTrack.  I don't love taking risks actually
