• Mount Rainier, Washington, from a distance of ~45 miles.
• Manhattan, New York City, from a distance of ~40 miles.
  

Both photos taken at roughly the same distance, using the same drone, meaning that a 1:1 crop from each photo gives a pretty accurate picture of how big the one is relative to the other.  This is what Manhattan would look like if it had Mt. Rainier right behind it.


The photo quality is not particularly anything to write home about, but I thought the size comparison was interesting.



Some photoshopping done for brightness/contrast etc. (to compensate for distance haze and so forth), but otherwise just a 1:1 crop from the original image out of the drone, no scaling applied.
