Please for dummies ;-) an answer : what's the advantage of hyperlapse compared with a normal video or quickshot or POI, what I accelerate later in a video editor ... 6, 8, 10 or whatever times faster ? Ok....the only thing that I can't do is the waypoint feature but what else ? For me an accelerated video looks better. Seen many hyperlapse videos on youtube with terrible stuttering.

True. I guess the biggest advantage is the size of the videos as 10min of 4K footage will occupy a lot, and by using pictures it's possible to make it in 8K.  Also, more turnkey and the drone does the job without editing

You say it was 8k but minimum interval for 8k is 6s, so I believe you recorded timelapse in 1080p and not 8k .

Yup, it most likely jumped to 1080p when selecting Circle mode, that’s not supported in 8k (not enough power to track and shoot 8k probably)

You are right the hyper-lapse is in 1080p it seems. I only had 1 battery and when the circle function kept failing, I had to make a quick call to do something else.

Still looks pretty ok, a bit jumpy.. but it would have been more fun if I had it in 8K. I will repeat this next time I get my hands on Mavic Air 2, as I still have not decided if I'm going to buy it, as I have a Mavic 2 Pro
