Getting more output will increase the warmth inside the controller and will worn out the electronic components more. But, since you are in the EU, the output of the controller is limited more than in the US. The electronics can withstand a bit more.
FCC output is <= 26dBm
CE output is <= 20dBm

I guess you can increase the output without harming the device 1.3x from the CE standard to fly in Europe.
