to be fair, if you want modern features (4k@60 at 120Mbps), you should have modern machines to run it on... Worst case scenario, you can use re-encode them before editing. I don't think H264 is gonna happen for this situation.
I can't justify spending another £1500 on a MacBook when the only issue with my 2016 model is this coding situation. I have used QuickTime player to recode but you get a very slight loss in quality. If achievable, having support for h.264 would be brilliant for me. |
