I find it strange / very frustrating (having come from the original MA & DJI Go) that there is no Tap Fly or Course Lock for the MA2.

seems like many things are missing compared to MA and Go4....

Theres not course lock on the Mavic 2 Pro either.

No course lock on any dji drone since Mavic Pro1 and P4pro . So I don’t think we will see that, tapfly was a good tool with Mavic Air, but I like that they gave us hyperlapse and focus track , maybe we might see some old features return but I’m not so sure, waypoints would take care of both course lock and tapfly it would also be very useful for lots of other stuff.
Sometimes we see people with glasses half empty while others are half full .

I hope its just an oversight.

I know that (it's in the manual), but we want Tap Fly back (which was the Mavic Air equivalent of Course Lock) for use in the normal mode of flying. In fact, as Course Lock is available in Hyperlapse, surely it can't be too difficult to add this option to normal flight?

I miss Course Lock too. Is a great feature to fly sideways for a long distance.

Tap Fly / course lock are incredibly useful in normal flight mode. DJI, please add it to the FLY app, thanks!

If you choose to save the raw files from a "1080p" Hyperlapse, they are indeed 4k, that is, you can make your own 4k Hyperlapse from the raws.

DJI Phantom 3 has course lock as well......no obstacle avoidance system either and it works great.

Very disappointed, no course lock, no waypoint .......

This is the only available format for the Hyperlapse. However, you can use the raw file to edit using a 3rd party software to have a 4k Hyperlapse. Thank you for your support!

If the drone can make 8k hyperlapse there's no reason it can't do 4k hyperlapse.
It will be much more convenient to take the 4k hyperlapse video from the drone rather than using 3rd party software to convert raw photos to video.

It's similar to to DJI decides to cut the video mode and tell us to make video from photos, I don't really get it :/

Now you’re just fishing for an argument! I referenced Course Lock because it’s available when doing Hyperlapse, as you know.

Very unlikely but you can pan the gimbal during flight which gives the same style footage of CL.

What we all want is Tap fly or similar in Video mode like we had on the original Mavic Air. It’s a great function that I miss almost every time I launch my MA2.
