Is fpv worth getting into? I am thinking it is going to be quite expensive especially when it comes to repairs and things like that. Any advice???

it is if you enjoy flying. it's pretty discouraging right now with all the regulations and people yelling at you for flying but if you fly sub 250g most people don't bat an eye. you will want to know you really like it before you get into the 5" class. i would say buy the best setup you can afford and get a 3" quad first, preferably built it yourself. there are lots of resources out there on how to get started, but it's really is daunting getting into it first. i would start by watching one of joshua bardwell's build guides, then watch rotor riot's getting into fpv series. if you find yourself thinking about and researching FPV a lot, chances are you'll love it.

FPV isnt expensive relative to some other hobbies.  Try having a classic car or a boat.

FPV is a bargain compared to those.

ok, good idea

got a megabee2 DJI fpv combo. It worked great first three flights and I'm now having problems with the dji fpv video. No idea what happened just green scrambled image. The drone is fun to begin with and get a simulator and practice.

Exactly,  otherwise its quite an investment and if they are like helicopters I probably can't fly one.

Some say that you should learn in a simulator but that means you still have to commit to a radio to be able to connect to the simulator.

Yes,  but It would probably bet cheaper to buy and drone and repair it then setup the simulator.

From what Ive seen the FPV simulators need a fairly serious gaming rig and I don't have one.  So I added that to the cost equation.

Give the Curry Kitten FPV Simulator a try.  It is free and can run on older hardware ok.  It's by no means a fancy simulator, but I really enjoy it.

When I got into it I purchased a JJrc h31 and a 25Mw camera and eachine 007 goggles
all for under a $100 buck. A great way to start cheap before jumping in to deep.
FPV flying is not for everyone. Some folks get motion sickness.

I'm not exactly sure.  Probably not?  It would not be ideal in any case as you want a controller where the throttle does not self center.  BetaFPV makes a $39 radio that works on a computer and as a FrSky compatible radio.
