Is the mobile device holder on the controller big enough to hold a full size iPad, or just a mini?

I think based on what I saw at the introduction only the mini.  You can make an adaptor for the Air and iPad.

I'm running the

Apple iPad 2 32GB, Wi-Fi + 3G (AT&T), 9.7in - White!! (Low FW iOS 6.1)

on my tx for the Phantom V2

I found on Ebay the hood and clamp to handle the Ipad.  It comes with a clamp and ball mount to adapt to just about anything you would want.

I bought 2 hoods so I could get the second clamp to hold the ipad.  I think one clamp would have sufficed.  Here is the only 2 pics I have of the setup in operation.

It does surprise me that the mobile device holder from DJI wouldn't hold an full size iPad.

I don't know that for sure.  Like I said, I only have a iPad mini and while the mount is highly adjustable, I have not seen a iPad mounted in it.  

I'll do a little more digging and see if I can find an official answer.

Official word from DJI is that the device holder works with a full size iPad.

With the mobile device holder at maximum open size, I must gently force my iPad Air 2 with a very thin clear polycarbonate case into the holder.  At this point I can't force the ratcheted top part of the holder to close even one click. If I take the back cover off my iPad Air 2, I can get just one click of closure by pressing down firmly on the ratcheted top part of the holder.  Forget about trying to get the foldable hood I purchased to fit in the Mobile Device Holder along with my case-protected iPad Air 2. The hood doesn't add any additional dimension, but I don't feel that the additional weight is safely held, so I can't use it.
