I needed an additional drone. To be on the safe side, with proper quality and a bit smaller compared to my Mavic 2 Pro. So I received the Air 2 this weak and gave it a try. Just a short flight from my backyard.
Good drone, yes ... but the Mavic 2 Pro is clearly better. Much better picture quality. But don't get me wrong - the Air 2 is half the price of the Mavic 2 Pro ... so it's a fair deal.
Handling is great! A bit less direct than the Mavic 2 Pro, but really easy to fly. I don't really like the DJI Fly ab ... but it's okay. Controller is better than the old one. Connection from controller to drone is good. Basically the same like the standard controller that comes with the Mavic 2 Pro. But not as good as the smart controller.
Flight time is really good - in my case it was about 24-25 minutes.
What I really don't like: HDR video recording disables any kind of manual settings ... too bad. And a adjustable aperture would have been nice.
Good stuff. Was that all in the HDR mode? I just flew my maiden flight today and checked out HDR, noticed too that there are no manual options in that mode.

Beautiful footage. I assume your not concerned that the Air 2 doesn't have a backup IMU like the M2P?
Well - they had to find away to setup and sell a cheaper and smaller version of the Mavic 2 Pro. Of course the better drone in every way in the 2 Pro. I own both the compared them and there is clear plus in technical and optical quality of the Mavic 2 Pro, but it also costs a lot more.
For me it's the perfect back-up and additional travel drone. I tried the Mavic Mini, but in many situations it's basically unusable.
