Yep. I was hopping this one would come with some indication of official SDK support for the S1. Oh well...

Imagine my disappointment when I saw a proper python SDK being released, only to find that nope, the S1 does not support it yet. The port for connection is simply not open yet.
I wish DJI would come out with some sort of statement and a timeline for when the S1 gets Python API compatibility.

Interestingly though that the app has blocks for extension module,  Sensor Adapter, and IR distance sensor.  Hopefully that's a hint of things to come rather than a big tease

Nope. This is just because the same app is also used for the Robomaster EP, which has all those things.
