Figured some of you may have had this happen to you but for those who never have figured I could show you what happens. I was flying pretty far away from myself and completely lost connection over water (ofcourse) but that trusted auto RTH came through! Saved my mini! Yeah good point and good tip. I've def. learned from this experience. Gotta have the RTH settings and place dialed in pre-flight to avoid any missing drones.

Learning form your mistakes is all part of the game. The best part is
you got your mini back.

Yeah, it's a bit scary at first when it happens. After a while you learn to trust it. It's important to know also you sometimes have control over the drone even without video visual, or turn it back after shortly losing video to get it back. You can come home quicker with stick forward in the wind etc. Might save you one day... I have range extenders I use to help if I lose connection also.

RTH is a great feature,  I flew my M2P behind a mountain and lost signal and it flys backward retracting its steps to regain connection.

Glad your Mini's still with you. I tend to turn my Mini's heels back when the video becomes jerky.

Maybe you should try this again away from the steel fence and aluminium table you took off from and see if you get less interference. What a view
