Great to be back in the hobby after buying and collecting (same day) the brand new Mavic Air 2 Flymore Combo yesterday. All set up perfectly last night with a first batch of three flights this morning.

Little things make a big difference like the RC bleeping to let you know when the battery reaches full capacity and the ability to control the gimbal with absolute precision using the touch screen which now has a pan and tilt scale. The intelligent flight modes were flawless too, especially active track 3.0 with gesture activation. The RC is a vast improvement on the previous Mavic remotes and the aircraft is very responsive and stable, even when flying in 20mph winds at 390' AGL as I did this morning. OcuSync 2.0 worked perfectly and I reached speeds of >42MPH. Overall, I'm VERY impressed, especially given it's size and price point. The only downsides for me so far are the LED lights on the battery being quite dim, only being able to record 4K @ 60p in H.265 and the loss of expo settings. I quite like the minimal features of the new fly app and yep, this drone is a keeper!

It is as flying drones have been well down on my list of priorities but nice to have something in the bag when I get the time now and this is an impressive drone for the price.

Yes, should be good for some time now.
At least that is what I think .
More time outside seems to mean less risk of spreading.
But I won't give a penny for late August.
I think we will all be in lockdown again.

We had to cancel our holiday to Cyprus this year but at least we got all our money back so could have been worse!

True.
We have fully paid the accommodation already.
But we know the owners a little (this would be the 5th year) and have been in touch about the plans.
For now we leave it 'as is' but we have told them to give the reservation away if they get locals that want to book the house in 'our' period.
Still I hope we are allowed to go....

Many congrats too - get out with it when you can - it is arguably the smoothest drone I've flown - handles really well. Just be mindful that heavy winds and using Sport mode massively drains the battery very quickly otherwise, 25-30 minute flight times are doable which is exceptional given the size of the drone. And be mindful to check the camera settings before pressing record for example, if you select 4K60 or 1080p240 it will auto switch to H.265. The Focus Track is excellent and worth trying out. You can also record QuickShots in 4K now and if you take a Hyperlapse in either waypoint or free mode you can select 8K in the camera settings - again, double check the selections before starting the run. 4KHDR and 48mp stills are my favourite options. Also aim to fly within 24 hours of fully charging the battery as these will auto discharge to 95% on day 2 then down to 60% after day 5 to stop swelling. Good luck and have fun!

That won't be any issue indeed.
But our government will issue travel advice sometime in June.
We will have to wait for that.
I'm not sure what we will do if that is a negative advice.

The UK is now moving into track and trace and aiming to impose localised lock downs rather than national - so if a town or village has a Covid-19 flare up the surrounding area will be locked down rather than say closing down London costing the economy billions because ten people 200 miles away suddenly contracted it - that makes more sense to me.
