This little experiment didn't end well. As you can see from the last pic, the drone flips upside down then spirals to the ground. Seems like minimal damage. Camera still works, but dangles. All props, motors, and arms still work. Flew it this morning with the gimbal cover on and it flew great, besides the gimbal not working during flight. Is this just the vibration dampening plate that's broken?
