just tried the firmware update

Was getting continuous LOUD Beep - Beep  -Beep - Beep from the motors after  Phantom_3_Professional_Firmware_v1.2.6_en update

so I presume the firmware update had failed  

have formatted the original sd card with fresh download



left it to Beep - Beep  -Beep - Beep its heart out for ten minutes and eventually it gave happy and successful boot up noise (da da da da)

left to finish the firmware upgrade until D-DD frpm the camera

updated the RC

and all seems ok

test flight tomorrow

shut it in a dark room and let it do its thing, eventually works

so they changed the sound during FW upgrades to loud beeps ?

i caused this myself, I cannot hear the lower tone beeps and wife told me it was beeping, lights quit blinking, so turned it off ;)
hoping its not bricked.
result says, 'remo disconnect'

gnemie is correct, let it run, takes 5-10 mins, then it normalizes and it resumes properly

Same happened to me. My first update, I thought it was done so I turned it off and checked the TXT file and seen I stopped it in the middle. I deleted the TXT file and tried again, that beep is LOUD! But it quits after a while and does the upgrade.

I did the same thing.

I just let it BEEP - BEEP - BEEP for about 15 minutes, then it switched to di-di-di-di for about 10 minutes and then di----di-di and all was good.

Firmware updates can take 30 min..  Start it and just leave it be for a half hr people and make sure the battery is fully charged

LOUD BEEP ON UPDATE?? NOW NORMAL!!!  why would dji do this??

I updated my P3 Professional today. V.1.2.6

Downloaded the file from DJI website, unpacked the ZIP, formatted my SD card and uploaded the .BIN file to the SD card. Put it into my P3, turned it on, and waited for 40 minutes.

So now I  have just got a loud beep from the motors. Not able to do anything with it. I was not able to upgrade. It was that loud when trying to update it I put it in a spare room as it drove me crazy.

I contacted DJI support, they emailed me the file and I reloaded it I did exactly as they told me, but that did not solve the problem.

Does  anyone know a solution of this?

I can confirm that this works great with the new firmware as well ( 1.3.20 ).
Be sure to format your SD card first.
For some reason, it makes a difference.
The beeping will continue for about 10 minutes and then it will update normally.
