Until 1990 Germany was divided into two countries: the socialist eastern part and capitalist western part. In-between the „Democratic“ Republic of Germany built a frontier that was almost impossible to cross because of the high security that was ruthlessly enforced. At least 327 humans were shot or killed by mines, maybe many more.

This place is a museum of the border with its towers, mine fields, floodlights, barriers, military vehicles. Only part of it can still be seen - enough for a very oppressive atmosphere.
The edit is supposed to symbolize a bit of that and the injustice of that system.
