Excellent.  Whilst I was watching this, I was struck at how majestic nature truly is, and how we as film makers/videographers are playing a valuable role in promoting the beauty of this world.  The average person generally lacks this perspective stuck on the ground...  Lets all keep sharing it with them, especially the kids, might help to make it last a little longer.

I completely agree. I'm driven also by the sharing of this beauty. Great clip too.

That looks fantastic.  I wonder how close the M2P would have been in DLOG after grading, although thats a lot more work.

I’m not to sure, but it’s really for me anyway more about the workload, I’m just doing it off the cuff as a hobbyist so don’t really need the extra workload, the HDR is pretty good and the exposure in the darks and brights is acceptable, it might not be bang on every time and shooting log you can refine really well . But this option is basically fly and shoot and it’s done .

I agree,  DLOG and grading takes me too long and this same looks bang on.

the only 'but' here. if you'd create proper HDR PQ project (FCPX or PP) it gives you crazy colours.

I think if you want you can go much further, the HDR on the Air2 IMO exposes the highlights and the shadows in more realistic way, you can bump up the saturation and contrast if you like that, or try for a more cinematic look which the HDR seems equipped to do.
But you’re right you can do some crazy stuff with HDR I have experimented on many photographs.

Did you use a ND filter (16x?) and what where the video-settings?

ND 16 , so HDR is on Mavic Air is Auto, I have tested a few times now and it works really well.
