I have both so I know but that is all I can do.  You have the Phantom so it doesn't really matter.  The new update made the P4PV2.0 better than it used to be.

That is an unedited shot w/ JPG.  I do a lot of photos and prefer the P4PV2.0 but I don't run it because I cannot get the distance I can with the M2P and the jello control is a lot better on the M2P but the single-shot images are better on the P4PV2.0.  I've made a post about it way way back comparing both.

The P4PV2.0 certainly has a different feel to the M2P,  which comes down to a matter of taste,  I like the P4PV2.0 but I could be bothered to carry it anywhere.

It's not really taste.  I do commercial work and use both so I know what it looks like coming out of the drone.  I can crank sharpness to the max with the P4PV2.0 and it looks fine but with the M2P it looks artificially sharpened.  I can go a lot further with the M2P w/o being scared.

The images are on another level in terms of level of detail compared to the M2P.  I only run the P4PV2.0 for ortho shots.

They are both totally fine!  It's just the sharpness seems to be a lot better w/ the P4PV2.0.  The colors at night though off the M2P is on another level.

Have you played with the sharpness settings on the M2P?  For me I prefer the greens from the P4P over the M2P.

M2P gives tons of artificial sharpening which isn't good.

Really need the DJI GS Pro update that ensures a picture is taken every sent command.  Not every single photo is taken and during an ortho run on time where the shot is one of a kind, it would be missing that are and driving hours for the shots expecting all the shots to be taken but wasn't is not good.

Sometimes a section is missing then like 5 shots pop-off at the corner for some reason. : (  With big overlap it can fix it but sometimes it doesn't even do it the whole run.  If you are low on battery it is not possible to refly especially when the weather starts to rain soon after charging in the vehicle.

Nice! The horizon is a bit off though.

Yeah, but I can't afford to take all that weight with me.
For me it is just a hobby, so I want my drone to be small and foldable.

Not only weight, but also size of course.
The Mavic Pro is such a nice small bag when folded. I can put it in the trunck and not even notice.
Which is a huge deal since I mostly use the drone while on holiday and our car is packed 110% so I need every bit of space!

It has been exceptional for orthomosaics.  If you make it stop and look down at every point, it works perfectly.

DroneDeploy and DJI GS Pro make it where it travels at a fixed speed and takes shots but the problem w/ this is if there isn't enough shutter it's slightly blurry.  When you make it stop and take a shot, the image is pin-sharp.  When you are trying to do inspection work it's ideal.

Probably means maybe.  I've went through the maybes w/ bad shots but the client still paid but upset.  We do sometimes early morning shots just before it rains so the light is low.  On bright days we can make it keep moving but there is still a possibility it would streak.  He upgraded the way he does the orthos with an AutoCAD guy so if the images aren't good anymore it's not good.

It takes way more time to have it stop but this 100% ensures you get a great image.  When you fulfill client expectations they want more from you otherwise they will start looking somewhere else only to find either the same or worse but giving bad service/products to clients isn't so Professional.  It's not like we are doing 50x more work at same pay.  It's something so simple as knowing the right settings.

It curves like that.
I use the perspective preset called 'little planet' with 'keep horizon straight' so it does not curve.
