Following scenario:

• "Power limit" is ON. "Max Power" is 700mW
• Drone armed, unlock message is shown so transmit power goes up from 25mW to 700mW. Everything is fine.
• fly
• Signal is lost. ...or crash far away and you need to disarm because you want to use turlte mode.
  

In which power mode is the Air Unit now? low power with 25mW?

If you really need the 700mW because of distance or a bando rooftop etc. where 25mW just isn't enough for a connection: goggles and transmitter will never be able to reconnect?

To be safe with reconnections: shouldn't the config be "Power Limit" = OFF if you are out and fly?

The transmitter transmits on its own power level. This has nothing to do with the air units power level. When you disarm the transmit power does not go down to 25mw on the air unit immediately. This takes some time depending on the surrounding temperature. You have enough time to turtle your way back. Even if you end up in 25mw mode you regain 700mw when you rearm and should reconnect immediately.

I think the desired setting is Power Limit OFF.  You gotta have that power to reconnect following a far off crash.
