I just did a test taking 4K HDR 30fps video for 10 continuous minutes (no pausing or stopping the recording).  It recorded 7.6 GB of data.  The data was divided into three video clips (reason why is discussed in another thread by another op).  The first two clips were 3.67 GB or 4:50 minutes and the last clip was only .26 GB or :20 seconds.   I just purchased a pack of five 32 GB Sandisk Extreme cards as I was getting an "SD card too slow" message.  I like to use smaller sd cards so if the MA2 is lost, confiscated, or the card fails I'm not out a whole vacation's worth of pics/vids...32 GB is about the smallest high-speed sd card I could find on Amazon.  After formatting each card in the MA2 and adding a Word document with my contact information in case I lose the card or MA2,  I feel I'm ready to go.

Don't forget you also have 8gb of internal storage too on the MA2 - that's enough for about another 12 minutes or so of 4K video if the card runs out.

Yep...very nice fall back feature...7.8 GB available so you have about 10:15 minutes of recording time.  Do you know if the MA2 automatically goes to internal if the card gets full???

I use 64gb cards which covers enough for me on four back-to-back batteries. That is something I will have to check out.

It does not. But it will tell you that your SD is full so you can change your recording settings to save to internal storage instead.

~9 minutes was a little over 7gb off the top of my head in 4k60 I think.

If I had used Normal versus HDR, do you think the GB used would be less??? I'll have to try that tomorrow.

Just finished the 4K Normal 30fps test for 10 minutes and it was exactly the same as the HDR test I ran previously.

Yep - I use the SanDisk Extreme V30, A2, U3 64gb - plenty of storage for 4K60 on 3 batteries

Sandisk Extreme Pro A2 128 Gb - 2 pieces, one in drone and one as backup, as I work with commercials and have 4-5 hours of recording at one video footage...64gb was probably more than enough but in case I forget to copy data, is plenty room to continue recording.

Never had problems, formated ExFat.

As for space needed, you have 100Mbps....so why asking instead of calculating? 100Mbps/8 = 12.5 Mb/s writing.
10 minutes = 60sec * 10 min * 12.5 Mb/s = 7500 Mb = 7.5 Gb...

So easy

An easy way to estimate is 1 minute of 4K video is about a 1gig.
