Looking at the "DJI Inspire 1 DRONE battery hack" on youtube, I see that the TB47 battery pack is made up of 12 cells.
Each cell is rated 3.7 V and 8.3 Wh, i.e. 2250 mAh.
The soldering shows that there are 6 serially connected pairs of 2 parallel connected cells.
Each pair delivers 3.7V with a capacity of 2 x 2250 mAh = 4500 mAh.
The battery has 6 pairs, delivering 3.7 x 6 = 22.2 V, at 4500mAh.
The battery thus is a 6S2P, with balancing on pairs of (parallel) cells.
What would be the advantage of this setup?
The DJI app shows 6 voltages, thus the voltages of the 6 pairs.
What happens when one cell becomes defective: voltage read-out, charging?
