Is this really that hard?

A J turn for drones.

FLy app doesnt have course lock :-(

It might depend on the drone.
Not all drones have this mode.
Only the 'expensive' ones.

That's awesome.  I know how difficult it can be.  Are the controls on the MA2 more refined than on the Mini? I tried "crabbing" with the Mini and found it extremely difficult even though it's a more basic maneuver than the full reverse move.  When will DJI put a hand brake on their drones ?

I took out the mini to try it and the mini seemed a little easier, I not use why, just seemed to be able to rotate and pull out slightly faster. Give it a shot!

Ok... I tried it a couple of times yesterday and got pretty close to getting it on the first two tries.  I didn't go beyond that as it was at the end of a flight session and I needed to get home.  It's definitely doable, but will require some practice for consistency

I have found that "crabbing"  (flying in a line with the yaw canted) was probably more difficult as it requires a more consistent path as you're trying to direct it both sideways and backwards (or forwards) with yaw dialed in,  at a consisent rate of all three elements- over a given time period.
