Defective Battery

I have a phantom 3 Advanced. Yesterday upgrade to 1.2.7 firmware and had 100% of battery life.

I have flown today and had only 78% of battery life. The battery appears defective. Only 12 loads.

It is not normal.!!!!

Did you have this battery in the P3 when you updated the firmware?

I'd discharge it fully and recharge and see if that changes anything.  If not, then get a new battery and send that one in for warranty repair.

As far as it will discharge.  Also, check your discharge delay in the app.  See how many days it is set to discharge.

from using lipos in planes and helis, I thought discharging to or below 3.3 volt per cell damaged the battery?
I also really wonder if there is a balancer built in here someplace, only way to MAINTAIN each cells health. bleeds off voltage on higher volt cells till lower volt cells catches up?

Ok, don't listen to me.

A typical plane/helo LiPo battery discharged too low often results in a battery that cannot be charged again.  Sometimes, you can "jolt" them with a quick charge, then a balanced charge, but, if they get really low, many chargers will refuse to charge 'em again.

I'm curious in the picture of the battery screen above - the total capacity looks like it's significantly below the rated mAh of the P3 battery. The one I just charged shows 4480 mAh.

The gas gauge inside the battery will update the capacity of the battery from time to time. From the picture you captured, I didnt see any obvious problems with the battery, the cell voltages are in good balance. Please try to fully charge/discharge the battery and leave it idle for 24hors to let the gas gauge CI to update the capacity. Then check if the battery capacity will go back to a higher value. If not, please try contacting DJI support.
