I got my Ronin about a week ago. Set it up and balanced it today. It seems the roll axis is very stiff. I need to physically turn the axis by hand or it will not turn. I tried calibrating the stiffness through the app and also auto tuned. I tried different camera setups including the Canon 5D MkII and the RED Scarlet.

Is this is a common problem with new Ronin's? Does it need a break in period before it'll loosen up? Is it a faulty Ronin?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean the roll is stiff before you turn on the ronin? except this, is it working properly after you turn it on?

It is very stiff on and off.  If I roll it 90 degrees in one direction, it's very hard to turn. Almost like I'm forcing it to turn. If I roll it the opposite 90 degrees, it's very loose and smooth as it should be.

So, no idea? Anyone I can contact directly through DJI? Send a video in, etc.
