Hi,
I've been reading into recommended SD Cards and picked up a couple with the intention of benchmarking each card I've tried and publishing results here.
In order to accurately replicate the perfomance you would expect from the cards, it would be best if I knew the IO Pattern that the drone lays down on the disk - that is the number of threads writing and, importantly, the IO Size of each write request.
Assumption would be a single thread writing sequentially to the SD card, however I'm not sure what block size the drone writes with - I can only assume it's not 4K Blocks. Does anyone know for certain the IO size that the drone write with (64K, 256K?)
I'll also be using
- USB 3.1
- exFAT for all tests
- same PC
- 15GB test files
I have a couple of SD Cards at the moment, but might pick up some more:
- SanDisk Extreme PRO 64GB UHS-III V30 A2 microSDXC
- Samsung EVO Select 128GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 (MB-ME128GA/AM) [Amazon Exclusive] Green
Let me know if this info is available.
Thanks.
