Hello friends, I finally had a chance to use the cam this weekend, you may recall it's a DJI care replacement. Now when recording in 1080 or 4K I'm experiencing strange artifacts in the on board audio.
Both on the last version and the newest 1.0.9 release, any suggestions or theories are welcomed:

Can you try an external mic?

not sure what I am to listen to, so can you not explain  some on it.  the   replacement on  the firmware given as well the latest?

It's the wind hitting the top microphone.
Happened on mine.
Easily resolved by using Rycote mini windjammers

thank  you  so you're not using the Frame then.  that did not happen on the  original?  I just took my frame off to see  . if it was not blocked by the actual frame.

Yes, I was using the frame and this was happening on the original firmware so I’ll give a deadcat/windsock a try.

I did try an external and because it disables wind noise reduction it’s almost unusable.

Best bet is probably micro windjammers or a foam windsock

i try some dead cat modified to it.    like said a wind  sock.   hope you figure the issue out , love my  rode wireless go.

True, that works great.

I either need a Rode wireless go or a dead cat over both internal mics..

So 2 foam socks for $12 or $200, I’ll try the foam sock first..

Mainly because after getting it full of mud and dust I can just rinse and reinstall.

I simply ran a test with and without frame no external mic.



Test this theory out cover your top mic, then side mic.  with thecynova the audio is proven to  be  dulpicated to  the track as mono.   . gives you an idea how each camera is.

Hello there Matman. I am sorry for the trouble this has caused and thank you for reaching out. Can you please try using your DJI Osmo Action to a different location and on a different environment for us to be able to isolate the said issue.. Thank you.
