Sometime back, a forum member was asking about things to do with his/her drone. Below, a suggested useful purpose for drones.
Friend recently had yard work done involving a lot of trenching for replacement electrical lines, a drain pipe, and water lines for new sprinkler system. In process of the work, two old drain pipes, and buried conduit for TV coax cable was cut with trencher. There was also a lot of wasted hand digging to eventually locate an existing buried power line. Naturally power burried deeper than normal, and not where he and electrian started looking.
After work was done, took Mavic Pro P over to his house and snapped overhead photos of his yard. He now as overall views, quadrant views, and few close views where several of buried lines intersect. One critical area being, criss-crossing of buried house power conduit, electric well power conduit, well water line out, a drain pipe, and two sprinkler pipes.
In future, if my friend needs to do any yard work, he will know almost exactly where electrical lines, drains pipes, TV conduit, and water pipes are burried.
Being it was for a friend, and I don't have a commericial license, it was Freebie. However, taking pictures to document location of buried electrical lines, drain pipes, water lines, etc; could be a side gig for extra spending money or perhaps as an add-on service for a business doing such work.
Cheers!
