I'm thinking about upgrading from my Spark. Has anyone followed the same path? Pros, Cons? I'm looking for better range/distance and image quality.

I was hoping the MA2 would have a backup compass, but my Spark has been a work horse since its first incident so maybe it's not needed?

The Mavic Air 2 will be a huge upgrade over the Spark. Enjoy it.

I have been flying the Spark since it came out...didn't get the Mini.  I now have the MA2 and love it.  I can do so much more with it.  The 3-axis gimbal adds a whole new dimension to flying and recording.  No more yaw jerkiness!!!  No more two dimensional recording to ensure smoothness.

As with anything to with photography it depends on the skills of the photographer and not the equipment

So you'd take a Kodak Instamatic over a Hasselbad any day???   Or a Tello over an Inspire???

Personally Id wait until September for the Mavic pro 3.

Hello there InTheReeds. Thank you for reaching out and for sharing these information with us.  You are definitely correct about the DJI Spark. It is really a small but tough drone. I hope that you will get the best information from our DJI co pilots who upgraded and purchased the DJI Mavic Air 2 and can give out there own insight on the said DJI drones. DJI Go4 had a function listing the countries where we had travelled to.

However I cannot see that function in DJI Fly.  After logging in, they only show your total number of flights, time flying and distance.  But not more country details.
