Seagulls are typically very aggressive and the worst birds to fly near - you were very lucky. I flew near Red Kites earlier in the week which are about three times the size of seagulls and they just flew away from the drone. Even the most on-point preflight check and firmware update can't stop an unexpected strike by a gull.

An ideal moment to test the active tracking on it !

That was close. Be careful seagull are known for taking out drones.

Yeah, there is an old video on YT of two bald eagles working together to take down an Inspire - which they did!

A seagull took out my friends inspire, last year. It wasn't a pretty sight.

Glad it did not decide to take your drone out. They can do it.

Pretty sure I'da got the flock outta there with the 2nd pass...!!

I've been lucky as well. (Knock on wood)

Seaguls hate my drone too.

Scary stuff!

Pigeons also don't like drones, I had some scary case .....

Just a reminder that birds are part of our natural environment and I'm sure they're not familiar to the drones that is why they react aggressively when they notice it.
