Lucky thing, I'm on my way to the sea right now and it's very stormy. In the following video you will first see the "normal video" so that you can assess how strong the wind was. Then a timelapse. Made via the follow function with 6 way point and the timelapse then made by the camera with 2 seconds spacing.

Nice!
I'd like to see the final output.
How does this combo handle windy conditions?

I have had no experience with stronger winds. I suspect in strong winds, the pictures become too restless.

Oh I missed that....
It does not look as 'smooth' as expected.
Did you dive into that?

That is my concern too.
I'm still looking for a good motion timelapse device.

It depends, of course, on the attitudes. Here in the video it's all about the presentation of the function. With other settings, the results will also be better. It is also possible to program a "ride" via the follow function and then have the time-lapse recordings taken by the camera itself. The EOS M50 has such a function. Or record in 4K as video and then run at a higher speed. Many roads lead to Rome. I'm actually thinking of combining the Ronin SC with a "Edelkrone" slider (for the lateral movements).

Yes that is true (more roads to Rome)
I'm still on the lookout for a replacement of my Osmo Mobile.
Most importantly for motion timelapses.
The gimbal function was not used that often by me.
But the motion timelapse was something unique that I was able to invest time and effort into (taking the stuff with me, setting it up, waiting etc. etc.)

Why not Osmo-Pocket? Then you have both gimbal and camera in one. And the time-lapse shots are really good thanks to the combination with the gimbal

From what I have seen, the motionlapse output of OP is not good enough for me.
Unstable results and too much compression.
The only good ones I have seen were from pro's that probably used the raw images combined with after effects (or premiere) with warp stabilizer.
