The log exports from DJI Assistant 2 are in DAT format and it's said that they're encrypted, so what are you supposed to do with them?

Hi,

Nothing.....only DJI can read them (afaik).

The flightlog and DAT file on your mobile device are decryptable....
Info in these 2 files are almost always enough to analyse a flight.

I see. Do you know why DJI opted to encrypt it?

I suspect it has something to do with the warranty or Care Refresh proof. They can see all the data and there is little risk of it being modified by the user.

Also, I believe that all flight data is captured in just one encrypted file, not a separate file for each flight.

But then, in cases where you want/need to analyze the flight data for when the aircraft lost connection permanently with the controller, and therefore the phone, how are you supposed to see what happened?  I guess you are not?
