Is there a  way to set from the SDK or else way the level of JPEG compression of the images, other than choosing the format?
I would like to make the size of the images smaller, even in the price of lowering the resolution

I don't think you can choose compression of the image, another way to do it is to download the preview image.

You can’t set the JPEG compression level through the SDK. To make your images smaller, you can lower their resolution or use the preview image. For more compression you can try online JPEG Compressor tool.
