Hi,

I have a Mavic Mini purchassed late November 2019. One of the batteries seems to be defective all of a sudden, while in the flying device (no physical damage). The four lights blink and it does not chanrge. I read in the manual that this is an indication that it's damaged. Does anybody know what the warranty period is for batteries?

Thank you for pointing me to the documentation, thought I have to say this is disappointing. This battery battery didn't die (one month after warranty expiration) because I did not take care of it. It died because of poor quality. I see quite a few complaints about batteries on the forum. These and my own experience will make me think a lot before buying another DJI product.

As a follow up, does these battery maintenance rules apply to the controller battery? Please advise, in particular how to discharge it, if needed.

Sorry to know the warranty period of your battery has been expired, in this case, it is recommended to purchase a new one and perform the routine maintenance to keep your battery healthy.
Yes, the battery maintenance rules are also available for the RC's battery.
