I am reasonably new to the world of DJI and joined with a Mavic Mini and recently purchased Mavic Air 2. Both use the DJI fly App which in my opinion is a good app that is simple to use and some excellent features.

Recenty though i have been looking into inputting waypoints and how it is done using the DJI Fly app for Hyperlaps.
Basically i have to fly to the way points input the waypoint go to the next and and do the same and so on. Once I have added all the waypoints the aircraft will then fly the waypoints (again!!) Battery life is now reduced due to this.

I did some further digging and found some stuff on how the DJI Go app uses it and it seems that basically you can add the waypoints to a map then the aircraft flies to those locations to do its thing, then move onto the next way point.....or am I to understand the Go works the same and they fly when it comes to waypoints?
Can someone explain why DJI have removed this excellent feature in the Fly App?

Advice and guidance would be appreciated.
