Been using the Phantoms for several years now. First the P3P and now the P4P. Just bought a Mavic Mini to keep in my truck when I just want to go up for a quick shot and don't want to run home and get my P4. MM is pretty cool except the controller. I hate it. So much different than the P4. I don't like the screen below the controls and hate plugging in the cable to my iPhone (I have big hands). I see several after market controllers but am looking for opinions of people on here that may have a recommendation.

Thanks

Can you post some links of the aftermarket controllers you have already seen that work with the Mavic Mini?

Maybe I shouldn't have said "controllers". They are little add on's you use to put in the spot where the phone goes.

Something like this:

There are two general types of extended mounts for the Mini controller. I prefer the ones I use in the photos below but there is also a clamp on type that puts the phone farther forward. Keep in mind that the phone should not block the antennae. https://www.amazon.com/Anbee-Fol ... electronics&sr=1-19

Hello there Joe D. Thak you for reaching out and for sharing these information with this accessory for the DJI Mavic Mini's remote controller. You may also try to check this PGYTECH Mavic/Spark Tablet Holder that is found on our DJI online store ( https://store.dji.com/product/pg ... t-v2&position=3 ). In addition, I hope that you will get the best recommendation from our fellow DJI co pilots on what mobile device holder they are using. Thank you.

Coming from a P3adv myself I understand everything you are feeling but before you go shelling out money it might be worth seeing if you can jury rig something to see what works for you. Possibly using a  piece of wood and a GL300* phone holder if you still have one.
In terms of style I have something similar to the amazon one you provide the link to and I don't particularily like it. When the controller itself is in a comfortable position the 'thing' lifts the screen too high for me, if I tilt the lifter to reduce the phone's height I then run into problems with the phone holder itself, in that its ball joint doesn't have enough movement to level the phone.
I am contemplating one of the clamp type that GaryDoug mentions.

Oooops. Here is a photo of my third setup for the second mini. Note the height of the phone above the controller, but it does not have to be that high (I am a bit farsighted ;-). This is the clamp method I mentioned above. Ignore the fact that the yagi antennae are not installed correctly at the time.

And one that looks to be using the GL300* phone holder approach https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Table ... 2485497.m4902.l9144
