Tested today the DJI fly app on a Lenovo Tab M10 FHD Plus (tablet) used my smartphone as hotspot.
Works without any problems.

Processor Soc : MediaTek Helio P22T (MT8768)
ARM architecturre :  ARMv8-A
Cluster Type : ARM Cortex-A53
GPU: PowerVR GE8320
Display : 10.3 inch (1920x1200 px , 220ppi)
System: Android 9

Good for you. But keep in mind that not every drone will work with a certain tablet just because it works with the Fly app and Mini. My first tablet worked with the Mini but not with the  MA2 even though they use the same app.

I use a Samsung Tab A, specifically model SM-T290, for the Mini. I use an ASUS ZenPad Z8S P00J 16GB for the MA2 (or MIni). Both drones use the DJI Fly app, but that model Samsung will not work well for the MA2, possibly too slow.

The samsung use a snapdragon 429 ( 4x ARM Cortex A53, Quad-core CPU ) for the MA2 it is to slow.
I think , if it exists a octacore it can be work.
The lenovo use the same Cortex A53 architecure on a Octa-core base CPU

The Asus use a Snapdragon 652 (  4x ARM Cortex A72, 4x ARM Cortex A53, Octa-core )
The Cortex A73 have more futures as the A53-Cortex.

I think with the ARM8v and a octacore cpu with Cortex A53  or higher.
And with a cpu from
Qualcomm 450 , Qualcomm 652 or MedieTek Helio P22  ( almost same as the 450 from Qualcomm only a bit faster. )
The DJI fly app works fine. BUT !!!! IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE  ;-)

If Samsung do not give the specs of the cpu , DO NOT BUY.
They use for the same model different cpu's.

UPDATE: DJI Mini 2 - Lenovo Tab M10 FHD (2020)  This tablet is working great for my mini 2 with the DJI Fly app! just wanted to confirm. I got the basic 32GB storage model with 2G RAM.  So far no issues after about 5 flights.  Distance of 3000-4000ft with an altitude between 200-300ft

Super affordable tablet with a 10" screen. Would recommend. Must download the app from dji website

I'm on the lookout for a 10" tablet to use with my mini 2 and here in the UK the Lenovo is within my max budget of £150. As you're in the US, can you confirm if your model has 4G in it or not? In fact, do you need 4G at all, as I can't find anything definitive about it?

Also, mainly directed at user Flaming but if you know the answer, what is the significance of the tablet not having a compass as he mentions in his post? In this current environment where you can't go into a shop and buy something, take it home, test it and bring it back for a refund the same day, I need to be certain about what I'm buying beforehand, and the Lenovo seems the best option at the moment as everything else starts from £200 up.

Not having a Magnetometer sensor mean that the aircraft orientation indicator will not work.  If you are going to buy a tablet you want every features to work right ? So this tablet doesn't have a Magnetometer.   Pass.

By the way , a missing magnetometer sensor will not prevent you to use the drone and fly. But you have to put more efforts flying it because you are missing some valuable telemetry.

Xiaomi PAD 4  does work great

(mini 2) Im using the Lenovo yoga tab 11 -8 gigs of ram 256gb storage-  Using Samsung note 10 plus as my hotspot. Works great! If you hurry you can get one at best buy, open box in excellent condition for around $250 w/tax. Used with Mavmount 122-235mm scout prime adapter w/lanyard. (Around $90 total after 10% off for email plus shipping.) Still less than an iPad and it works great with Ru! (Adobe Premiere Rush) also lightcut (dji's app) and a few others that were tried. Have a good sunhood (some small mods required), high speed USBC cable and nice camera/drone backpack that fits and protects everything perfectly. Just holler if your looking for links or model numbers. Wish there was more accurate information when I first started flying, hope this helps someone save some time, money and aggravation aggravation. .
