I want to buy Mavic air 2 in the near future. Will my position and MA2 show up in real time when you get to where you are going even though you have no wifi or cell service?

Hello, you don’t need WiFi or cell service. Only essential for updates and firmware downloads. I’m often in the wilderness with no connectivity and has no impact upon drone flying. Hope that helps!

Yes it will - you only need WiFi for updating the firmware on the drone, remote and batteries at home and for downloading the Fly app. Leaving cellular running during flight will enable you to view the map in satellite mode without caching it but it is not necessary. Many turn on airplane mode when flying. You can also cache the maps over WiFi at home before heading out and turn off cellular before taking off and see the maps in satelite. It is also highly recommended to have WiFi turned off anyway during flight so it doesn't interfere with the signal.

You're welcome. Here is the official list of all compatible devices. The Smart Controller is in the process of becoming compatible but DJI Goggles and Crystal Sky will not be according to DJI.

Hello there 1piotr13. Thank you for reaching out and for choosing the DJI Mavic Air 2. In addition to these information, putting the mobile phone in Airplane mode while flying would lessen the interference like receiving calls and text messages while on flight. However it is not necessary to put your device in Airplane mode but please make sure there is no such calls/text message or any notification that will interrupt you when using your device while flying your DJI Drone.
