With APAS switched ON and the obstacle avoidance switched OFF will the APAS work?  I don't think my APAS is working.

If both options are turned on my drone just stops at an obstacle.  If I turn the Obstacle avoidance OFF and leave the APS switched ON I do not think the drone will find a route around, but just crash.  It certainly looks like it's going to crash.  I do not trust the APAS.  Can anyone explain this feature better?  I read the manual and I'm still not clear on the exact specifics.

It doesn't work in tripod mode either.  It also doesn't work in any intelligent flight mode where you are filming above 30fps.  It doesn't work above water.  it doesn't work above snow.  Basically the conditions have to be perfect so never depend on APAS to be auto-pilot while you get the perfect shot.  it's unreliable.
