I can't seem to find an ND 256 filter for the mavic 2 pro. Anyone have any ideas?

I am not sure if you can buy it separately but it comes in this kit.

I actually have that set of all 3. The 1000 is for taking long exposure picture (about 1 - 3 seconds, around noon on a full sunny day .

There are several brands available but only a few sell them separately. You will have more luck with a filter set (Polarpro?). Personally I would go for an ND 64 (6 stops of light instead of 8) and try to shoot on the blue or golden hours. I believe spending close to 100$ for a specialty filter for the Mavic can be a waste.
ps. I spent 500$ on my Singh-Ray 105mm Gold & Blue CPL Filter so don't mind me...

I'm bought them too. Mainly for long exposure photography, to get motion blur in the pictures like on this very sunny day in the Netherlands.  Needed to emphasize the movement of the water floating in.
